Sports Therapy/Rehab

Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability.

Physio and Sports Therapy/Rehab both use hands-on techniques, approach health holistically, and take into account the interrelationship of all parts of the body, muscles, nerves, and even the mind.

Injury Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation, also known as Exercise or Physical Therapy, is a key component of any recovery and healing journey. It's important to consider early rehab after any invasive or traumatic event to help restore independence, normal range of motion, reducing scar tissue build up and to decrease pain. Individuals advance from early stage through to late stage rehab with the aims of strengthening weakened muscles, preventing stiffness, correcting postural problems and rebuilding confidence.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage Therapy is amazing not just for athletes, but for those who prefer a strong targeted treatment to soothe tired, aching, sore muscles, increasing circulation, removing toxins from muscles, decreasing muscle tension, improving mood, improving flexibility, relaxation etc. Sports massage is not just for pain relief, it also helps to reduce risk of injury, improve performance and can be used pre-event as an invigorating treatment or post-event as a recovery treatment. Sports massage can help with scars and scar tissue breakdown, adhesions, and knots.

Classic Swedish Massage

Swedish massage takes a more holistic approach and promotes relexation, destress, boosts the immune system by stimulating the lymphatic system, increasing flexibility, improves sleep and wellbeing. We tailor our treatments to your individual needs.

Injury Screening

Injury Screening is often used by athletes or those training for a specific event, but it can also be suitable for those who have been injured or who have been inactive for a long period of time. It is a customised assessment using a number of standardised tests to identify potential abnormalities that could lead to injury or poor performance, and to empower the individual with information about their body and appropriate prevention strategies.

Health MOT

Includes a consultation, blood pressure check, body tape measurements, Waist-to-Hip Ratio, weigh-in, body composition checks including body fat percentage and skeletal muscle mass percentage using the OMRON BF511 scale and personalised recommendations how to get the numbers in the optimal range.

Personal Training

Our personal trainers stand-out from the rest; they have formal qualifications and training in sports injury management, rehabilitation, injury recovery and prevention, vast knowledge of medical and health conditions and common medications, with years of experience training clients in different environments ranging from rehab gyms in clinics to church halls and huge leisure centres.

Whether that's getting back on the tennis court in 3 months following a total knee replacement, restoring function and reducing pain in the spine that's been a problem for a decade or losing the excess weight you put on from a health problem that caused you to stop exercising, Kamileans will hold your hand throughout the journey to optimal health, fitness and performance. 

For those wanting to lose weight whilst they heal and repair their injury, on average clients have lost an average of 1st (6.3kg) in 12 weeks and gained muscle whilst losing body fat.

Event Hire

Our team of qualified Graduate Sports Therapists can bring their expertise, knowledge and skills to your event, providing pre-event and/or post-event massage to your participants. Kamileans also offer Pitch-Side First Aid for your games and tournaments, including sports taping & strapping. We provide everything from the therapists to the pop-up relaxation dome at your event creating the perfect chill-out area. The event participants choose their focus area - Neck, Back, Shoulders, Arms or Legs and we allow more than one treatment per person, making us very popular with the international participants at the event. We have worked at 5k, 10k, marathon, ultra-marathon, football, basketball events and tournaments.
